LinkedIn headline generator

Three headline options written the way recruiters search: the title first, then what makes you specific. Edit, copy, done. Free, no sign-up.

A simple formula

Title · specialty · proof or audience. Start with the words someone would type into a search box, add the domain or skill that sets you apart, and end with a result or who you help. Then link a page that backs it up: the headline gets the click, the page gets the reply.

Questions

What makes a good LinkedIn headline?

The title recruiters search for, then what makes you specific: a domain, a skill or a result. "Senior Backend Engineer · Payments & Rust · scaled UPI checkout to 2M/day" beats "Passionate technologist".

How long can a LinkedIn headline be?

220 characters. Only the first 60 or so show in search results and comments, so put the most important words first.

Should I put 'open to work' in my headline?

If you're actively looking and comfortable with your employer seeing it, a short "Open to PM roles in Bengaluru" at the end is clearer than a banner.

Is my input stored?

Inputs are cached by a hash for 30 days so the same request is instant. We don't create a profile or contact you.
