A Carrd alternative for people who'd rather not design
Carrd is one of the best deals on the web: a clean one-page site for the price of a coffee a year. The catch is that you design and write all of it, and anything beyond a page (bookings, payments, analytics) comes from embeds you wire up yourself. Here's when Carrd is the right call and when it isn't.

What Carrd does brilliantly
Carrd's pricing is hard to argue with. Per carrd.com/pro on 2026-10-21, you can start free; Pro Lite is $9 a year without a custom domain, Pro Standard starts at $19 a year with custom domains and forms, and Pro Plus starts at $49 a year. For a landing page, an event, a waitlist or a product launch, it's often the right tool and we'd recommend it.
It's also flexible. Carrd is a general one-page site builder, not a link in bio app, so you can make almost anything that fits on one long page if you're willing to spend the time.
Where Carrd gets expensive in time
The price is low because you are the designer, writer and integrator. For a personal page that usually means:
- Writing your headline, about section and project descriptions from a blank page. Most people stall here, not on the design.
- Choosing fonts, spacing and colours that look good on phones. Carrd gives you control, which also means it lets you make it look worse.
- Wiring a booking tool, a payment tool and an analytics tool, each with its own account, embed code and bill.
- Updating it by hand every time your role, rates or projects change.
How featurd is different
featurd starts from what already describes you. Give Ivo your LinkedIn profile PDF, resume, current site or Linktree and you get a full draft in about a minute: headline, about, experience, projects and contact, written from your real history. You edit anything before publishing.
Design is chosen, not built. Pick from 32 looks in Explore, from quiet ones like Studio and Gallery White to loud ones like Neon Tokyo and Y2K Chrome, or describe the look you want and Ivo builds it.
The things you'd bolt onto Carrd are part of the page: bookings synced with Google Calendar, a lead form, free downloads, paid products on Pro through your own Stripe or Razorpay with 0% featurd fee, and a Message me chat on Pro where Ivo can draft replies for you. Tracked links tell you when a specific client or recruiter opened the link you sent, with device and country, so you know when to follow up.
The honest trade-off
Carrd is cheaper and gives you more pixel control. featurd costs more on Pro, but writes the page, gives you designed looks, and includes the bookings, sales, leads and analytics you would otherwise wire up. If you enjoy designing and your page doesn't need to sell or book anything, stay on Carrd. If you've had a half-finished Carrd for months, that's usually a sign the blank page is the problem, not the tool.
Moving from Carrd
There's no Carrd importer, and you don't need one:
- Paste your Carrd URL into the start screen as your website. Ivo reads the public page and drafts from it.
- Add your LinkedIn PDF or resume too if the Carrd is thin; Ivo merges both.
- Pick a look, publish, then point your domain at featurd on Pro or keep your Carrd domain where it is until you're happy.
Looks to start from
StudioQuiet luxury. Big type, generous space.
Swiss KineticA Swiss poster that moves: giant type, red numbered rows, a visible grid.
Gallery WhiteA museum wall: monumental serif, framed work with wall labels, slow unveiling reveals.
See all 36 templates, live pages in Explore, or describe your own and Ivo builds it.
Try it on your own page
Ivo drafts your page from your LinkedIn, resume or site in about a minute. Free for good.
Make my page freeQuestions
Is Carrd cheaper than featurd?
Yes. Carrd's paid plans start at $9 a year (checked 2026-10-21). featurd's free plan costs nothing; Pro costs more because it includes AI writing, analytics, bookings, leads and products.
Can featurd import my Carrd site?
Yes, by reading the public page. Paste your Carrd URL as your website when you start and Ivo drafts a featurd page from it.
Do I need to design anything on featurd?
No. Pick one of 32 looks or describe one, and Ivo applies it. You can still edit text, sections and colours by hand.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro. Add the DNS records shown in Settings and it usually goes live within an hour.
