For coaches, consultants, photographers, tutors and freelancers, a booked call is the moment interest becomes revenue. Yet most link pages send people to a separate scheduling tool with a different look, a different URL and no context. This guide is about getting bookings from your bio link with as few drop-offs as possible.
Why bookings belong on the page
Every hop loses people. A visitor reads your page, taps "Book a call", lands on a scheduling tool that looks nothing like you, and has to re-decide. Keeping the calendar on your own page, next to the proof that convinced them, removes that second decision.
It also keeps the data together. When booking, leads and page visits live in one place, you can see which visitors became calls and which calls became clients.
Free call, paid call, or both
Pick based on what the call is for:
- A free 15 to 20 minute intro works when the call is a sales conversation for a bigger engagement: consulting, design, photography packages.
- A paid session works when the call is the product: coaching, mentoring, portfolio reviews, tutoring.
- Both works well: a short free intro for fit, and a paid deep-dive for people who already know they want you.
Set it up so people actually show up
- Sync with your real calendar so only free slots show. On featurd, bookings sync with Google Calendar.
- Offer fewer slots than you think. A calendar with three times next week looks in demand; one with forty looks empty.
- Ask two or three qualifying questions in the form: what they need, timeline, budget range. You walk in prepared and filter poor fits.
- Show the visitor's time zone. Missed calls across zones are the most avoidable no-show.
- Send reminders. Both of you get them, which cuts no-shows more than any policy.
Charging for sessions
For paid calls, take payment at booking rather than after. On featurd, a paid call is a product: on Pro, it's charged through your own Stripe or Razorpay, with 0% to featurd, so a ₹2,000 or $60 session costs you only the processor fee. Indian clients can pay by UPI through Razorpay.
For comparison: Topmate charges no subscription but takes 10% through your own link (20% from its marketplace), per its pricing page; Stan charges 0% on sales but starts at $29 a month with no free plan. Calendly and similar schedulers are excellent at scheduling, and you'd still need a page around them.
Catch the people who don't book
Most visitors won't book on the first visit. Give them a smaller step: a lead form, a free download, or on Pro, a chat on your page where they can ask a question. Ivo can draft replies to common questions so nobody waits.
When you send your page to a specific prospect, use a tracked link. featurd tells you when they opened it (time, device, country), which is the right moment to follow up. Optional follow-up nudges remind you about leads that went quiet.
Wording that gets clicks
"Book a call" is fine. Specific is better: "Book a free 20-minute fit call", "Pick a date for your shoot", "Grab a 45-minute portfolio review, ₹1,500". Say what happens on the call and what they'll leave with. Put the booking button in the first screen on a phone, and again at the end of the page.
Set it up in a few minutes
Start free: Ivo drafts your page from your LinkedIn, resume or site, then add a booking section and connect Google Calendar. See the role pages for coaches, consultants and photographers for what to put around it.
